STEALING TIME FROM SLEEP

At Turon’s secondary school she was one the best and more advantaged students. By that time Mª Jesús Suárez Coro was living in Figaredo, from where she is from. But, due to the fates of life, that crosses paths and destinies, in this case the marriage and creation of a family, today she is from the county of Aller, from Moreda, where the art and culture have a great significance.

Mª Jesus was born and makes a noun as painter in Mieres. She exhibits her works for first time in the Cultural House in Mieres. Her success was resounding in all aspects, which was a great compliment in order to continue with her realistic painting with marked personality.

Mª Jesús, self-taught and mother of a numerous family, steals time from sleep and resting time in order to make possible to reconcile her hard life as housewife with her artistic concerns. She told us that she uses to paint until the early hours in the morning.

Here we have a great example of woman, housewife and artist.

As Modigliani said, the artist is born, it is not made. So in Mª Jesús both things are married up.
