1997. Javier de Santiago y Hoppe
The vicissitudes of the Pacific squadron were recorded in a collection of nib pen drawings by a contemporary of the expedition, the soldier Javier de Santiago y Hoppe. Found in the depths of the Naval Museum of Madrid, they now see the light preceded by a thorough study by José Ramón García Martínez, the best scholar on the War of the Pacific.
