In his research on the naval artillery used during the Spanish Civil War, Artemio Mortera writes an individualized study on the pieces assembled in all the participating units, with a brief technical description. He then moves on to compile the most important war events in which the artillery participated. Furthermore, using this approach, he is able to narrate the naval history of the Spanish Civil War, as it is the cannons, the armament, that which makes the ships war ships and their voyages a naval campaign.
