"Otros 50 barcos españoles" is a collection of biographies of ships, which start with their design, building or appearances in history, up to their disappearance through sinking, dismantling, selling or any other circumstance. The book encompasses the period from the year 1600, when San Diego, the first ship to be mentioned, sunk, until the year 2011, when the last ship to be mentioned, BIO Hespérides, closed the expedition called "Proyecto Malaspina". These are fifty ships that, with a greater or smaller impact, have contributed to the writing of the naval and maritime history of Spain.
