ABOUT LIFE AND OTHER IMPORTANT ISSUES

The painting selection for Alvargonzález Foundation is a performance of emotional states in which the viewers can easily recognize themselves. Emotional states that dilutes, feelings that appear and disappear as the viewer interacts with the painting.

 Reconsidering the universal issues and with a melancholic brush-stroke in the paintings, Alberto plays with the space. The background, the object and the text are confused but they live together in the surface that goes beyond the canvas.

The abstraction of the written word unifies the image and adds another dimension, capriciously linking the painted and figured surface of human beings with the traces of charcoal in the canvas.

Alberto was born in Seville in 1984 and studied Fine Arts with specialization in Painting and Photography among Madrid, Seville and the Monfort University in Leicester, United Kingdom. In the summer of 2008 he moved to London, where he actually lives and works. The artist combines his Master in Painting in the University of Fine Arts in London (Chelsea College of Art and Design) with the exhibition of his works. This summer Alberto has been awarded with the BP Portrait Award at the National Portrait Gallery in London, where his painting Bitte Gech Nicth Fort was awarded with the British Institution Award.
