Mª José Requena presents in her first exhibition a selection of pieces that stir up our enjoyment and stimulate observation.
Self-taugth, observant, and fond of travelling, Mª José treasures that artistic gene that urges her to look, imagine, and replicate. Nature is her inspiration, and her form of communication is creation, an idiosyncratic and original outlook on what surrounds us...
...Fond of light and colour, she paints both snowy landscapes or plant life cycles and series of trees in her stunning acrylic paintings. In fiction, she composes and mixes images of musical and colourful harmony.
She masters several technical tools, but her training in design allows her to take on new challenges, such as cardboard furniture manufacturing, ephemeral sculptures that unite formalism and pragmatism. For this exhibition she has selected a "Hanger", in the shape of a triptych, made using collage techniques (carboard, paper, glue), that constitutes a plastic hybrid between sculpture and hallway furniture.
Undoubtedly, this exhibition will serve to promote the value and abilities of an amateur artist, who is at the same time an expert in several creative fields.
