KUMANO KODO, JAPÓN OTRO MUNDO

...Walking the ancient Kumano Kodo is a unique way of experiencing the special cultural landscape of the spiritual territory of Kumano. In July 2004 the Kumano Kodo pilgrimage routes were registered as Cultural Heritage of Humanity by the UNESCO as "Sacred sites and Pilgrimage routes in the Kii Mountain Range".

Neither Daniel Ordóñez nor Agadía are professional photographers, although they have been dedicating themselves to photography for years as a hobby. In the last few years, after travelling to India, both have carried out individual and collective expeditions, the latest with the purpose of collaborating in projects with the Vicente Ferrer Foundation. They have also provided NGO Sonrisas de Mumbai with their pictures as a collaboration with said organization. 

In the case of Daniel Ordóñez, he has been awarded in numerous photographic competitions in national and international levels; since 1997, year in which he won the first prize of the SUPER FOTO PRÁCTICA magazine, until his last award in the MAN RAY contest of Gijón. At the same time, since 2003 he is in charge of the photographic exhibition of historical recovery of La Calzada neighbourhood, in the C.M.I Ateneo de La Calzada.
