Mª José Requena Alonso
Mª JoséRequena Alonso presents in her first exposition a collection of works that encourageenjoyment and incite observation.
Beingself-taught, fond of travelling and keen-sighted, Mª José possesses an artisticgene that encourages one to look, recreate and imagine. Her field ofinspiration is nature and her way of communicating is through creation, theoriginal and individual gaze at what surrounds us...
…Passionateabout light and colour, she paints a variety of themes that go from snowylandscapes or the vegetative cycle to a series of trees, in astonishingacrylics.
Mª José hasgood command of technical resources, but her training on design allows her todeal with new challenges, like the making of cardboard furniture, ephemeralsculptures that combine formalism and pragmatism. For this exposition, she hasselected a “Coat Stand”, in the shape of a triptych, using collage techniques (cardboard, paper and glue), which constitutes a plastic hybrid between sculpture andfurniture of the entrance of a home.
Without adoubt, this exhibition will serve as a means for distributing the value andcapacity of a novice but expert artist who is also well versed in differentfields of the creation process.
